Sugar Sheds Haiku
Yesterdays steel cracks
and flakes. Rust drifts from the doors
like late autumn leaves.
Unspun golden seams,
mountainous and sticky sweet.
Old sugar rush dreams.
When we leave, forget
the walls are lined with dead men,
tired of waiting.
