Todays story was actually created this time last year, in December 2021 during an action packed set of 21 comic workshops with every primary school in Inverclyde. It was the first time I had been able to get back into schools to deliver since the Before Times, and it was an absolute joy from start to finish.
The idea originated with attainment teachers Colette Cavanagh and Julie Docherty and involved all schools learning about comics storytelling and then creating a page each of an enromous superhero epic set all across Inverclyde.
The completed comic was shared in March this year, and it remains one of my favourite projects - it was exactly the sort of thing I hoped we would be able to do when setting up Magic Torch Comics CIC.
